Real Estate Definition: Constructive Notice

Constructive Notice supports real estate transactions because it provides public notice as to who owns a given piece of real property. Constructive Notice operates under the presumption that buyers understand it is their responsibility to have their real property recorded at their County Recorder's office. They may record their ownership documents themselves or they can hire a real escrow company to perform this task on their behalf.
